Possessing more than 15 years’ experience of Court of Protection work, Dan has developed extensive expertise working with clients of all ages who have sustained brain injuries through a variety of life events, in addition to elderly individuals living with dementia, helping them navigate complex capacity issues that require investigation and resolution. Dan first began to specialise in Court of Protection whilst at a national law firm in 2009 and has previously worked at various levels with Professional Deputies. These include panel deputies appointed by the Office of the Public Guardian, Protected Persons, their families and care providers. He is a member of the Professional Deputies Forum, as well as Lifetime Lawyers, an association specialising in providing legal support to vulnerable and older individuals. Outside of work, Dan is an active supporter of charitable causes through the Ilkley 41 Club and was formerly a member of the Ilkley Round Table, which organises the annual Ilkley Beer Festival and Ilkley Half Marathon fundraising events.
