NOTE: Domicile is a legal concept with a subjective element but a person is usually, but not always, domiciled where they were born which usually corresponds to nationality, broadly where a person thinks he/she belongs and more than likely will die. Most people resident in the UK and UK nationals will be domiciled in the UK. If you have any foreign connections, please give details below e.g. parent(s) of foreign birth, being born outside the UK, have spent substantial periods abroad, dual nationality etc.

It is usually preferable for inheritance tax that a married couple (or civil partners) have the same domicile. It is also the case that domicile can otherwise assist with inheritance tax planning. If your domicile is unclear, you do not know what your domicile is, or there may be issues arising out of your domicile(s) then Price Slater Gawne will discuss this with you.
