Price Slater Gawne becomes an employee-owned law firm

Price Slater Gawne is delighted to announce that it has become an employee-owned law firm.

As a company with a forward-thinking approach, commitment to delivering exceptional standards of client service, and a culture in which staff feel supported and empowered to develop in their careers, the move to an employee ownership structure will help ensure that this same ethos is maintained in the future.

Natural Progression for the Business

Since being established in 2010, Price Slater Gawne has flourished under the management and ownership of Victoria Price, Mark Slater and Chris Gawne, and has been recognised in the leading legal directories, Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.

During this time, the firm has undergone significant growth whilst retaining a strong employee culture, centred around the values of kindness, ambition, collaboration, flexible working and trust. It is this culture that the firm wishes to preserve whilst continuing to thrive and grow, now and in the future.

As the firm moves forward, Head of Wealth Protection and Court of Protection, Gareth Williams, will be joining Mark Slater and Chris Gawne on the Board of Directors. They will be responsible for running the firm. Victoria Price steps back from day-to-day involvement in the business.

Ownership of the firm will sit with a new Trust, with a board comprising Director, Chris Gawne, Partner and Practice Manager, Kim Carmyllie, and independent Director, Simon McCrum. The Trust will ensure that the firm continues to be managed in a manner which delivers the highest levels of client service, and in the best interests of its employees.
